Artsy grew up in Pony Town with her pegasus mother, unicorn father, and pegasus sister. Ever since she was little, Breezy has shone a dislike for her that has calmed down ever since they got their cutie marks. Breezy and their mother often went to Cloudsdale and Artsy always wanted to go with them but her and her parents were afraid that she was going to fall, but once her and Breezy became friends she always went up to Cloudsdale on Breezy's back. Her father taught her how to use basic magic but she wanted to do something more with that magic, and she learned how to draw. Artsy and Breezy often fight that Breezy just needs to calm down, especially when Artsy's drawing and that Artsy needs to be more adventurous. Artsy and Breezy live together in Pony Town.
